Developed in 1943, they are a large, sweet fruit that has thin green/yellow skin that is streaked with crimson. Creamy yellow flesh and a very nice flavour. Keeps well in storage.
Jonagold requires a second type of apple for pollen and is not capable to pollinate other varieties. Considered moderately disease resistant.
