We love showcasing and supporting other small businesses and companies that encourage people on
the road to self-sufficiency, either by growing food/plants or making things themselves from scratch.
We also hope to collaborate with some like minded businesses in the future.

House of Tallow make hand-crafted soap and balms in Otago - by the fabulous Stefanie. It began with a passion for learning traditional homemaking skills.
Rendering down fat for cooking which then led to creating soaps and balms.
Tallow soap has a profound ability to deeply nourish the skin due to its
bio-availability. It also helps increase the skin’s flexibility and supports the protective barrier of skin. All soaps and balms are handcrafted by stef in batches, with a wide selection scents and designs.

Owairaka Seeds are a small business located in Auckland, New Zealand specialising in unusual and interesting seeds from NZ and the rest of the world. They sell mostly perennial seeds and flower plants for home gardeners. They also have annual seeds and some vegetables. Seed stocks are regularly updated to keep up with demand.

The NZ Tree Croppers Association is in the business of promoting interest, sharing information and research in the use of trees. Ranging from fruit & nut production to animal fodder and everything in between. To become a member is easy enough and great work to support. The members are a real cross-section of different types of people: from home orchardists and farmers to investors and scientists. It is a wide source of valuable information that is readily shared and the monthly booklet that comes out is a real bonus!
