Valerian Officinalis
Perennial plant with tall stems- can grow up to 2 metres tall. Attractive to bees, butterflies, hoverflies and other pollinators. Roots can be used medicinally and is known to cause a sedative effect in some people. The leaves are fern like and the white flowers umbrella shaped.
Seeds readily and is a nice addition to the floral, fragrant, insect friendly garden!
