Now is a good time to divide some plants in the garden and take cuttings. Peonies and some bulbs can be gently divided when they just start to surface. Be careful not to disturb too much. Nice to see wee peonies after so long asleep over winter and l
Finally got round to organizing my apples! Shade house tidy up and weed and everything into alphabetical order to make finding and stocktaking easier. A few new varieties added this season. Things are starting to move and bud up which is exciting!

I feel this is the start of a fun and exciting journey towards southern grown oranges! These are trifoliata seedlings that have just popped up. Trifoliata is capable of withstanding temperatures as low as -15 and snow (according to the interwebs) So
These are frost hardy orange seeds. Apparently down to -8 so I read. I'm trying to develop a frost hardy orange that can be grown down south. The plan is to grow the seeds onto rootstocks then find hardy local varieties to graft onto them. They can a
Never been one to blast my own horn but I am feeling proud of what I've achieved and humbled to have been approached about what I'm doing enough to have an article written about it in the odt. I was contacted through the grapevine by Louise (who wrot
