Beurre bosc are large sized european brown eating pear with soft, juicy and sweet flesh.
Refridgerate to develop taste. Beurre bosc has a long tapering neck and slightly russetted cinnamon coloured skin. Suitable for poaching or bottling.
Mid season pear with heavy, reliable crops. Needs some chilling to set fruit.
Can be susceptible to black spot.

Honeywort - Pride of Gibraltar. Fabulous shade loving plant grown as a half-hardy annual with blue/purple pendulus flowers in spring through to summer. Grey/green foliage for a nice contrast. Seeds in for some of these will be ready soon!

Pear grafting for 2025 done and dusted!! Good feeling to get it done. Pears can be a little trickier as you need an interstem to graft most varieties into a quince root-stock. I use both doyenne du commice and beurre hardy as my interstems. Some tree
