A very long history dating back to biblical times, this highly aromatic herb is both very fragrant and medicinal. Also goes by the name Canary island Balm.
It is an ornamental, evergreen perennial shrub in the mint family growing up to 1.5m tall.
Leaves can be made into tea. Flowers are great bee and other insect attractors due to its heavy scent which has hints of citronella and mint.
